Reclining Buddha
4*
We decided to go to Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho) temple because of the Reclining Buddha (and as it is #1 on TA) and it was very impressive. There are a number of temples in Bangkok but I would definitely recommend Wat Pho.
We got the river boat to Tha Chang and then walked past the Grand Palace for around 10 minutes until we reached Wat Pho entrance. The entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and you get a free bottle of water with your ticket.
The temple grounds are filled with numerous artifacts and detailed information about teachings in the Buddhist faith which are interesting to read. Additionally, the grounds are very well kept and the architecture is stunning.
The highlight for us was the Reclining Buddha - so beautiful and huge with amazing detail on the feet!
I'd recommend wearing shoes which are easy to put on/take off as you will need to remove them when you enter the different buildings.
Overall, a beautiful temple with lots to see and learn, I would definitely recommend visiting!
