If you're looking for a gift(s) to take away from Sydney then Paddy's Market is definitely a good source. There were lots of various items at 'okay' prices. The market isn't that big but it is indoors and air conditioned, and there were places to eat. It wasn't that busy when we visited but be prepared for crowded conditions at busier times of the day.
