Pleased we chose it
4*
We stayed at the Kings Inn for 3 nights in order to explore San Diego. We were able to check in early; we had pre-payed but they still required a $100 security deposit in addition. We had a standard room but it was large and had a fridge, good TV channels, and a microwave among other things. The room was also clean, and cleaned well on a daily basis. We also used the guest self-serve laundry which was a reasonable price, I think it was $2.00 for the washing machine and $1.50 for the drier. There was also a large heated pool and a hot tub which we used; very nice! We chose the hotel because location-wise it is far enough out of the city that nightly rates are affordable, but equally it is very easy to get to the city. There is a bus stop right outside which the number 88 bus stops at and delivers you to Fashion Valley Transit Center which takes you straight to the city (and back) all for $6 (if using the adult day-pass) on the Compass Card. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this motel if you are travelling to San Diego for a few days and are somewhat limited budget-wise.
