Quick visit
3*

We only stopped here for a moment to look at the bison. There were 3 in the field when we visited and you can walk right up to the fence. It is situated on an accessible and safe road so it is easy to get to. It was cool to see some bison and the area looks fairly well maintained, however you probably wouldn't want to spend more than 10 minutes here as it's just the bison roaming around and not much else.

Poor all-round
2*

We had a long flight with Hawaiian Airlines and the only positive aspect was the great ticket price. Alas, you get what you pay for as this international flight was not great.

Firstly, we were not allowed to check in to travel to America, despite having ESTA's as we were told that you must have a return or onward flight. Nowhere does the ESTA policy state this, nor is it really the concern of the airline but they were happy to prevent us from boarding until we booked an £800 onward flight, on the spot, at Sydney airport (lucky we had £800 available at that moment).

The flight departed slightly late and the flight itself was fairly full. They provide blankets but that is all really. There was no leg room and the in flight entertainment was very poor; the worst I've seen on an 'entertainment providing' aircraft. The meals were, at best, average. We had to catch a connecting flight to San Francisco from Honolulu, so we had to re check luggage, which shouldn't be an issue but the information (or lack of) given by the staff of the airline was diabolical. This wasn't to matter anyhow as the next plane was delayed by over an hour while the crew just announced that they'd "update everyone in 5 minutes" for an entire hour. The second journey was the same as the first.

Finally, to top it all off, baggage reclaim took an hour as well as they seem to have the slowest luggage removal team; not sure if this was the fault of the airline or the airport [San Francisco International] however.

I would probably not choose this airline again if it was a matter of a few £ difference in ticket price.

Keeps you entertained
4*

You definitely have to spend half a day to a day at Fisherman's Wharf; one of the nicer areas of San Francisco. There is, of course, the infamous Pier 39 and its Sealions (see my other reviews), and other cool attractions like the local Krispy Kreme shop/restaurant, the Alcatraz tour stop etc. Simply walking around is pleasant as well, and there is lots of information and history everywhere you look. You can get good pictures of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge from lots of locale around the area. The transport to and from the area is also good.
