Dam awesome!
5*

We stopped off here on our way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon and it was absolutely worth it! Parking on the Nevada side is $10 in the multistory, but as so many people suggest, just continue across the dam (yes you can drive right over the top) to the Arizona side where there are many car parks with free parking. When we visited in February, winter time, despite being mid day we found a parking spot in the lowest car park so we virtually parked next to one of the worlds most iconic structures for free! The views from almost anywhere are spectacular and the area is very well maintained, being clean and debris free. The dam felt very safe as a pedestrian and there was good information available on the dam itself and other things like the local wildlife. We walked across the dam and back and then also proceeded up the hill on the Arizona side for a higher view of the dam where there is also a small shop and a few toilets. In summary, if you are in the area, especially if in Las Vegas, then a trip out to the Hoover Dam is 100% worth it!

4*

Among the wonders of the LV strip the fountains still stood out. I watched a show that went in time to the song in the title, in the day time. It was very entertaining! There was enough space to stand and get a good view (although it was a very cold day). I was not sure when the shows were timed for but I just happened to turn up as one was starting.

Fun experience
4*

We only gambled at this casino, and only for about 2 hours (I know; boring) but it was a good experience despite my bad luck. We played here as the staff were friendly; we took free blackjack and roulette lessons here beforehand (which run around twice a day) and they were offering $30 of chips for $20 for first time players when we visited. In addition, as my girlfriends birthday was 3 days prior, they gave us another $20 in slot machine credit which was a lovely touch. The blackjack tables had a minimum bet of $5 which is a standard low bet at any big casino on the strip, therefore you don't hemorrhage money too quickly! The roulette also had a minimum $5 outside bet, and inside bets were also minimum $5 however they could be split up into separate $1 bets so long as they totaled $5 or more. The casino was clean, however there were the odd dirty machines and drink glasses scattered around etc. and be prepared for the smell of cigarette smoke, though obviously this is the case in any LV casino. Although the interior isn't as spectacular as, for example, the Luxor, the exterior is still amazing and overall the casino was fun to visit and probably worth the money [we lost].
