Possibly over-hyped
3*

I think the fame and fortune that Music Row is associated with has majorly over-hyped the actual physical area itself. I believe many people, ourselves admittedly included, expect huge buildings, glamour and glitz, and country music playing loudly, but in reality its just any other street with a few famous buildings (that aren't architecturally impressive) and a couple of signs with information on. Also, as we found with the Hollywood Walk of Fame (see my other reviews) it was almost deserted when we visited, for a world renowned location I expected it to be far busier! (It was a cold day in fairness). Despite the issues I have taken with this attraction, I would still recommend visiting as it is the birthplace of many country music stars and likely the reason country music is as big as it is nowadays; my advice would simply be to lower your expectations so that your aren't underwhelmed as I suspect many reviewers on Trip Advisor find themselves to be. Additionally, perhaps it is worth taking a tour as there isn't much signage and I only knew what I was looking at thanks to an internet site I found that described what all the individual sites on the street were famous for; it may be a more interesting and worthwhile way to explore the area?

Nice atmosphere
3*

We wanted to explore Broadway and the various Honky Tonks but were skeptical about a lot of them seeing as we were on a budget and naturally no bars really list prices for anything. Nevertheless we came across Cerveza Jack's just off the Broadway and decided to enter as it was a recognized establishment. Additionally it was happy hour (Monday through Friday, 11:00-18:00) and most importantly we liked the performer who we heard when passing (Ian McConnell). Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Their Nacho's looked very nice (although we didn't try them) and the drinks were okay. We stayed for about an hour and the drinks in happy hour, despite being 2 for 1 on beers, were still something like $6; $6 for a small can is a bit expensive in my opinion and I probably wouldn't return outside of happy-hour/deal-times. All-in-all we had a good time here as somewhere to listen to some good country music and have a few drinks.

Nice scenery
4*

We walked across the bridge twice as it offered great views but also a nice escape from the built up, urban area Downtown. Being a pedestrian bridge you don't have to worry about cars or other vehicles and can simply enjoy the scenery and the architecture. It is easy to find from Downtown and I would encourage people to visit and not neglect this, perhaps lesser-known attraction, when exploring Nashville.
